Make sure that you choose high-quality, sturdy bunk beds and that the furniture complies with the relevant British Safety Standards. The top bunk should have a guard rail on each side, and the mattress should fit securely in place, at least 10cm below the guard rail. It's also important to make sure that your children understand how to use the top bunk safely.
Full over Full -- a perfect configuration when you need to fit two large beds into a small room. A full over full bunk bed is a practical solution for guest rooms; it can comfortably accommodate an entire smaller family, especially if equipped with a trundle bed. It is also a great solution for families with multiple children, as each bed can take in a couple of smaller kids. Teenagers sharing a room are some of the most common occupants of full bunk beds. As of late, however, many parents choose these larger beds even if their children are still too small to actually need them; the reasoning is, the extra space provides more comfort regardless of the child's size, and there is no need to worry the kids will outgrow this piece of furniture: if sturdy enough, a full over full bunk bed will see them through teenage years and beyond.
Storage beds don't have large box springs or other heavy objects so it is easier to pullup. Small stills on the back end of the storage bed pulls out, allowing it to rest easily on the floor. Storage beds are great for storing seasonal items under the bed to help save space and keep your room from becoming cluttered. However, if you have a wood floor you might want to place a space rug in the area so when it is folded out it does not scratch the floor, do to the movement of the stilts.
